Home Delivery Service
The Richmond Public Library is a Carnegie Library and is not a handicapped accessible building because of the “ascending stairs to learning” that was a trademark of Carnegie libraries. Therefore, we provide a delivery service for those who are unable to access the library materials.
Please call us at (435) 258-5525 if you are in need of this service and we would be glad to accommodate you.
If we don’t have what you are looking for, this may be your answer…
The interlibrary loan program, administered through the Utah State Library Division, provides access to materials not available in the Richmond Public Library’s collection nor in the Northern Cache Library Consortium (NCLC). We've been awarded a grant for January through June from the Utah State Library Division that provides interlibrary loans at no cost to patrons.
Acceptance by the patron of any interlibrary loan item thereby transfers full responsibility to the patron for the item’s care and return to Richmond Library. Interlibrary loan borrowers will be billed for lost, stolen, or damaged interlibrary loan materials; the fee is determined by the lending library.
The Northern Cache Library Consortium (NCLC) is a partnership between the Smithfield, Richmond, Lewiston, and Newton Public Libraries. This gives each of our library patrons access to additional resources. Patrons can search the NCLC catalog and if materials are found in any of the libraries, they can go to that library and check out the material free of charge. Patrons are responsible for pick ups from and returns to the borrowing library.
This consortium service was acquired through an LSTA State Grant.
The library is able to proctor tests for both Utah State University and Weber State University. You must take your test during our regular library hours. To take a test, simply request us as your proctor and request the specific test, then come to the library during our open hours. Not all tests may be taken at our location; check with your school’s testing center or your professor with any questions.
