Summer Reading Program
Join us June 2020 for the summer reading program: "Imagine Your Story". Packets have been sent out to all families with children in school. If you didn't receive one, please drop by the library to pick up the materials.
Visit the library & meet some of the characters!
From July 1st - July 7th we will ask everyone to participate in taking one sidewalk block to draw anything related to our summer reading theme “Imagine Your Story”. Choose a square of sidewalk on the new 300 East sidewalk trail between Main Street and 500 North. We will have local artists participate as well and hope everyone will enjoy walking the new trail and enjoying the chalk art of children, teens & adults. Bring your own chalk or chalk will be provided at the corner of 300 East Main. Look for the marked container on the corner.
Read a story from a children’s book as you walk and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Nature Park. The Nature Park is located on 300 East between 300 South and 400 South, across from the horse arena. There will be a different book for the months of June, July and August.
We will sell raffle tickets all summer until August 15th. Tickets can be purchased at the city office and library. Tickets are $2.00 each.

Beehive Consortium (Overdrive)
Currently we have very few junior fiction and teen titles purchased by the Richmond Library in Overdrive. We will be purchasing some ebook and audio titles. If you have any recommendations of unavailable titles on Overdrive or ones with a long hold time, send them our way.
